Wil lthe 3800 v6 SC engine bolt straight up to my transmission? 98 cav. z24
.... Ok .. Well then what were people saying about it bolting up to the 2.4 trans. ? what trans would it work with?
i thinks its the 2.2 tranny they are talking about. not the 2.4 tranny

The 2.2/2200 shares the same bolt pattern on the bell housing with the 31/34/3800 series V6's . The 2.4 is well sort of one engineers drunken idea of being different .

2000+ 2.2/2200 is what I would recomend. If you want to use the 2.4 tranny then you would have to get a bell housing for the 2.2/2200 and swap it over.

Yes it will match up to the 2.8 tranny . They are both in the same engine class ( 60* V6 ) .
