After some heated words my x ripped my glove box down and it broke.. i went to the junkyard but they dont "have anything that new". I have a 97 RS is there a web site i can go to to find another one
That new?? What sort of ghetto junk yard did you go to??
Find one that doesn't just deal in garbage.
If all else fails you could try
http://www.car-parts.com - one of the salvage yards listed in there should have something. I need to get a new arm rest thingie for my center console as mine is cracked as well. If car-parts.com has 1978 Mustang II Radiator's they should certainly have a glove box piece for our cars, LOL.
just use your..... ex
mwahaha. make them sit in your car and hold it up
what is the part i am looking for calleD?
Glove box door ? Mobile junk drawer ? Most likely if you say you need the door for the glove box most people will know what you are talking about . Check with other salvage yards because for a 1997 to be pretty new is ....... wwweeeellllll a pretty old car in most other places .
After you get it fixed , go rip the glove box door off of your ex's car .

If our interiors matched I would break hers off... I live in bum f*** SC all the stuff in the junk yards are really Junk.. I live in the south you know we just leave our abandoned cars somewhere underneath the tall grass after they break down.. I was just wondering the part name cause I was trying to go through gm parts direct but my computer will not pull up the pictures for some reason... i may just break down and take it to the dealership... couldnt cost more than 30 bucks
Wouldn't ya have it, gmpartsdirect don't list it.
However, as per the other site recommended -
http://www.car-parts.com/ - I ran a search for 1997 Cavalier, Interior Panels/Misc as the selected parts, in South Carolina, found the following that have 1997 Cavs listed:
- Livingston Auto Parts - Charleston 1-800-829-8733
- Gainey Auto Parts - Ladson 1-800-997-8733
- Tony's Auto Salvage - Spartanburg 1-800-964-8669
- Ed Powell's Auto - Anderson 1-888-889-3122
Now, if these are not near where you live, I do apologize. I don't really know SC geography at all. I'm on the other side of the country, so, this is the best I can assist with.
I have one if you want it. Email me. Also, any 95+ door will work. What did she break one it?
Probably broke those black hooks that keeps it from coming out when you open it. That's the only thing I can think of breaking by pulling on it. Either that or the handle that you open it.
What color do you need this to be?
