It's prefectly reasonable if the engine can handle it. It's an M62 on a 2.2L engine and if I'm not mistaken, doesn't it provide around 9-10 lbs of boost?

The LD9 blower makes around 50 hp on <5 lbs of boost because the engine isn't really made to handle more. It'd blow up if you fed it 10 lbs. The Ecotec is a whole different ballgame.

That's all pretty accurate. I'm guessing we'll see around 230-250 on the 2.2 ecos once people start dynoing them.

You also have to remember that most ecos are underatted anyways and put out well over the rated 140, so just because they can hit 250 doesn't necessarily mean its a 110 hp increase.

Guys are putting down similar numbers in the stock cobalts with the 2.0, so I would be disappointed to see anything less than 200 whp.

Also the M62 on the LSJ puts out 12.5 lbs on the stock pulley. Has anyone confirmed if the 2.2 eco kit uses the same pulley?

Either way there are other pulley options available to up the boost to nearly 20 psi, if you can get the tuning to go along with it. And it seems as HPTuners has solved this problem for us

look up Intense racing, they are doing crazy things with the LSJ and HPT

GM claims 200hp. From what I have been told by a few people, gm employees, local mechanics, and a friend that works on race cars, GM has been using low numbers lately so people arent upset when they dont get the higher numbers. So 200 hp with no other mods, other than the kit pretty much gauranteed. I'm getting this kit after I finish paying off my car.

Well, if you read the Ecotec build guide, GM put their supercharger on an ecotec and then built up the engine, got it up to 1400 hp..........So with some engine building you can do a lot, just go read the build guide, they will tell you how to get to 200 hp, 400, 800 etc....

I talked to a guy in the gm performance parts service department, from stock to the s/c you will get about 110hp out of it, with the reflash you will get an extra 50hp just from the reflash. So that is about 160hp gain, take what they rate the 2.2 Cav at 140hp and add the 160hp, that comes to 300hp. Or about their.

yea, cuz a supercharger and flash doubles the hp

your looking at getting a max of 75 ponies out of the charger

And if you believe that I'm selling some nice bridges PM me for a price list.

Seriously 200 should be about right.

OMG are these the bridges that my friends said were fun to jump off?

Dibs on the bridges bitches

And I think you were talking about the AWD conversion supercharger that just plugs into your glovebox, if installed with the muffler turbo whistle,,,,

it
will
be

Fast

be careful with the NOS stickers though,,, I mean an eco can only handle so much right?,,,

Ok, I think we've gone too far, it must be time for me to home

I don't have the guide but I am pretty sure you are talking about what they did with a turbo on the eco,,, there is just no way to make those kind of numbers with a SC on a 4 cylinder. Maybe a crazily designed twincharged set-up,,, but we'll leave twincharging for another day and forum.

The eco loves boost though, so you are right to say that if you follow the cookbook ecos can be built to whatever hp level your wallet can keep up with. The tranny/axles and the rest of our cars is another story. But if you have the knowledge to build a 400 hp eco motor,,, you will know what else needs replacing further down the line.

Yup thems be the bridges! Bungees sold seperatly.

As for the AWD kit its comeing out next and is a simple bolt on you can do in your driveway with simple hand tools and everyday kitchen stuff. This will make the Cavi's SMOKE the EVO V due out in a year or so. The Cavi will once again be thee dominate force in motor sports equilled only by the likes of Porsche, Ferrari, or perhapps Lamborgini.

As for the NOS stickers it all depends on how many you put on.

Yes I'm bored as sh-t can't you tell?!?
