You would be surprised at what some good driving does to your times ..

Lower tire pressure , or some drag radials.

Plus like what DanteMustDie said :

Post up your slips so we can take a look .

Does

an flywheel
mean that you have a new alluminum or new stock flywheel. If it is billet alluminum, chances are that your revs are dropping too fast for you to keep up...try a short throw shifter... and like everyone else said...

practice.

according to your 2.3 60' your spinning, get that tire preasure down some and pull a 2.1 60' on street tires and you'll be maybe 15.5-15.7 i bet

trap speeds are low in the 1/8 and the 1/4, of course I'm used to seeing higher traps on lighter cars with the ecotec

launch higher, drop tire pressure, remove all unneccesary weight (within reason)

and like everyone else has said, practice (ON THE TRACK)

I find the car behaves much different on the track than it does on the street (surface conditions)

u gotta be doing something wrong....i was running a 15.7 with just an intake, and a 2.3 60ft, on really crappy tires. i just got my crank pulley on, and a full exhaust including a header....i also now have Flaken Ziex tires, im heading to the track tonight, we will see what happens

Ill make a sig someday

drop your 60 ft down. thats a big part in your over-all time. i run low 2.2 60's in my almost stock 2.2 OHV.

Which car from your registry is this? If you're running the KYB's and garbage coilovers, then good luck bringing down your 60' time.

You should be getting at least 2.2's. BOOSTED mentioned 2.1 but I have NEVER done a 2.1 and I've done a lot of runs in my car. That's not to say it can't be done... but I wouldn't beat yourself up over not managing to do it.

Then working on speeding up your shifts. Should be able to knock off at least a 10th there with some practice.

yea 2.1s is very good 2.2s is decent anything slower you should keep working at it.

I have pulled a 2.0 in my car before so there's always room for improvement. (open diff, stock 14" steelies, crappy tires)

Sorry to thread jack but I am in almost the same boat as you. Best i have managed is a 15.89, with regestry mods, and a 2.22 60'. I know i need to practice my 1st-2nd shift cause it suxs balls, and i either bog or spin em a little off the line and when they stop spinning it bogs, TCS kicking in? It feels like 3rd takes forever and i am at 6k rpm by about the 1000' so do i shift or come close banging it off the limiter before i cross the line? I go as often as I can, once every other weekend during the summer, but its busy and a good night is 6-8 runs over about 4-5 hours at the track. Just saying any thing you guys can give me to make better use of the the time i have at the track would be apprechiated.

i went a 15.916@86.76 with a cold air intake, tsudo 4-1 header and stock exhaust with a bent downpipe, and a upper poly mount spinning the @!#$ out of my 205/55/16's so your definately doing something wrong.

I Know I will get burned for this since I have only ran my car twice at the track but I ran a low 16 i the 1/4 mile and that was all stock except a custom cat back sittin on some steelies too (this was with my 2.3LO) I saw the more I ran the better I got so I would practice, and listen to what they have to say cause for one Skiwrly is going to be putting down some nice times here, actually he all ready is so I would pay a lot of attention I know I am
