The 1SV was an economy package right at the end of the cavalier lifespan. I believe they were about $10,000 or so and you couldn't add any options to the car. The cheapest of cavaliers...

its cheaper than a base model, and is also known as the "racing edition" to people around here who know what they're talking about
it comes in the same trim as a base model but without tilt steering, no mirrors in the visors, and no ABS module
a 1SV lightly modded should run in the 14.7-14.9 range
come on PJ, racing edition. It's a J. even if it's lighter, it's a J. You could have paid 60k for a cavy, it's still a cavy and doesn't make it a special value. It only makes it a cheaper car.. It's like saying you own a Z22. It's the same freakin thing.

Well I don't get why you guys have to make fun of my car! I do plan to run but i wanna know what other people have run. This is a very common question to ask on car forums. What is uncomman is why you guys have to make fun of every one for something you guys seem to think your commidians or something. So what if I have manual windows and stuff . I saved alot of money as compaired to a spiffier models of cavys. So thank you so much for jacking my thread you cronic masterbators! And thanks pj at least your not a tool

the special value isn't a dealer option, its from the manufacturer as such. its not a bs package, thats the cars actual name
special value because its cheaper lol
Don't worry man.... My cavy is an 03, manual windows and locks, pretty much the only option I have is mirrors in the visors... It's a base model, and saved me a ton of money, jut like yours... And I don't need all that extra @!#$, it runs just as great, if not better than anyone else's car here, and definitely looks good for what I got it for...
After joining this forum, I'm beginning to realize everyone is a tool here, and I think it's time to move on to another forum...

It is just that the ? gets asked all the time, you just have to go out run and start from a base 1/4 mile time, good luck

hmm i guess that makes mine an 1sv then. But to the OP, they are telling you to go run the car because a time frame depends on how well you drive the car at the track. JBO has seen great drivers get in these type of cars and run mid 15s and then you have @!#$ty drivers like me who pull a 16 flat or a little higher. Lightly modded (I/H/E) w/ a good driver (2.1x or lower 60') you will see low 15s maybe even high 14s. Hope that helps, but when you do find out what you run, let us know. later man.

Have you ever heard the term "joke"? "Racing edition" is what me and PJ started calling his now-ex's 1sv because its essentially the most bare-bones cav you can buy, kinda like how they sell STI's without radios and other features for the people who buy them just to race them. Its an inside joke, obviously neither of us is retarded enough to think of any factory cav as a "racing edition".

Thanks for the heads up. I just couldn't believe PJ saying it was a racing edition. I do understand your point but it's still a normal cavalier, just the cheaper of the cheapest.

so what does that make my 97z24?
the 1SVZ?? hahaha
mine didnt come with ANYTHING except for the z-24 features, essentially its like it was a bottom bones base-with the z24 features added. im not joking either, a lot of ppl tell me "ohh they all came standard with this and that" ....my car didnt.
no rear defrost
no cruise control
no light up Rear View Mirror
manual windows/locks
no automatic tranny-its a 5spd
manual mirrors
i know for a fact that these didnt come on the car, theres no harness for the CC, no wiring in the back for the rear defrost either. no wiring for power mirrors etc...
i do know that the car started its life as a rental, so maybe the company ordered it specifically with nothing except the z24 stuff.
Be glad you have the manual,I don't like my auto, but hey it was free.

Ok, not much value in letting this continue.
