Lots of new stuff happening
Saturday, September 05, 2009 6:04 AM
Well lots have changed since I've made a real post here. Moved out to Lima, Ohio for college at UNOH and unfortunately had to leave the Monte Carlo and the Trans Am in my father's care at home. Before I left the Monte did get out of paint and looks beautiful. So I've been out here about two weeks and yesterday I hear one of my best friends back home got in an accident and died.. RIP... so I'm already going back home for a little.
On the bright side though I decided I wanted to drive home instead of fly so I went on Craigslist and found this beauty.

You could take the cheapies off my cav and try to destroy them, lol. That's about all they are good for.

Also that engine bay could use some LS1 love.

That is one of the most mediocre looking cars I've ever seen. Makes me wonder how they got popular, then I remember the whole "rear wheel drive" part and it starts to make sense.

that car does not have the same pattern or offset as a cavalier. RWD and FWD cars have different offsets. Your car has 5 x 114.3 and cavaliers are 5x100. If the wheels have dual patterns, they'll fit the lugs, but the wheel will look dumb because they will require a different offset, especially in back

Figured I'd bring this back instead of making a new thread. Bought a set of E-Motor USA coilovers a while ago. Put those on as well as the exhaust Ive had sitting around.

OBX Header, DME Test Pipe, Tanabe Cat-Back.

Also am picking up a ton of parts to build a naturally aspirated KA24DE.

Where do people find these deals? Where?

screw the deals... when i was in college i could barely afford easy mac let alone a 1k beater car and then modding it.

I worked full time and went to college full time. I never had money for anything.

Honestly paint is the last thing I'm worried about. I have a ton of body work to do before then... New front Fenders, rear over fenders, just bought the wing form the Kouki that I will be putting on etc. Its prolly gunna be just rattle canned for quite a while.

Yeah I have heard that as well and am going to be working on that. And good luck on the SR swap.. I'd rather have my NA KA that will be faster than a turbo SR =)
