Why go to all the trouble of springs, shocks, steering, etc when you can have more than enough lift using stock-ish IFS?

Not really a waste, being a run-of-the-mill chevy 2wd truck. So what would of really been a waste would be to buy an expensive lift for that truck IMO! lol.

My mom's Escalade reads that it gets an average of 19mpg, and its got the 5.7 if I'm not mistaken.

Your moms escalade also isnt trying to turn way the @!#$ to big tires.
