completely agreed.
Why didn't Ford try as hard as Dodge to make the Mustang actually look like a Mustang rather than...well the crap it looks like.

Well, they may not all be beautiful, but ya gotta admit: it's still a massive improvement over the "COTF" bland noses of the recent years. I'm glad to see it.

In nascar how exactly do they define stock car anyway?
Well prior to the 1990s they used to actually start with a OEM car and then weld the doors shut, put in a cage and suspension, drivetrain all with race grade stuff, it was basically a stock bodied car. As the years have gone on, the cars have become more and more distanced from whats actually anything resembling a car you can actually buy
I could go on for days about the many things thats wrong with Nascar. As someone thats been a fan for 20+ years, I'm the exact example of the person thats completely lost interest because of Nascar's goal to bring in "new fans". The cars right along with the drivers arent allowed to be unique or have any personality.

There is still some good racing in the series, however the cookie cutter car drives me crazy, esp with that stupid spoiler. Id like to see them go back to running actual cars. At least this is a step in the write direction.
Yeah! And it's about TIME they got real Ponycars back in the mix, instead of freaking sedans and such. Can't WAIT to see the new NASCAR Camaro!

Tho Im glad to see them consider going back to a more stock car, I don't think the challenger, mustang, and camaro are the best choices.
Camaro, mustang, challenger = T/A cars and the like not nascars.
Still cool tho just wish they had more stock options to choose from.

Ponycars. Yum
Ah the Superbirds. Factory-sponsored cheating at its best! Love the other cars in the field...Galaxie, Caprice, Chevelle. Cutlass, GTO/Tempest, etc.

Actually Rodimus it's prior to the 1980's that they used Stock cars. Around the 78 or 79 season or early 80's season Nascar mandated the previous, Before COT, generation stock cars. In the 80's they were pretty stock appearing but there wasn't one thing in them that you could get at the dealership. Then the Aero wars began and stock appearances went out the door.
