I've had the AMG for a couple years now and the cavy is rusting away it seems. The brakes are shot, the turbo set up looks like @!#$. I need a two car garage

The SL65 would be a blast to drive, but the maintenance is extreme!! I looked at 2006 (S and SL) a while back and it was a awesome car, but my pocket book started to whimper a bit in anticipation of it possibly breaking.

SL65 is probably the sickest car that MB produces, better than the SLR imo.

At the same time, the V12 engines, autoleveling suspensions, and overly sensitive braking systems can cost tens of thousands of dollars to repair (at one time, individually) if they go bad. Pocketbook can definitely hurt. I honestly don't think I own anything as expensive as one of the repair bills would be.

The SLK looks really nice man, I bet the pull in that tiny little car from the 3.2 S/C is pretty sweet. Wheels look good, but of course everyone is going to tell you that you need to drop it Color is rare and very nice man. Overall, very nice grab. I'm definitely impressed and would like to check it out sometime, cuz it looks great.

Since we're going to make this a J and AMG thread, I'll go ahead and throw mine in too (this is after I sold the koni/goldlines on the cavy)

The Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 has the same motor and transmission after MB quit making the 32 AMG series (2004). The 2004/5 SRT-6 is a nifty little ride for cheap. You can pick up a SRT-6 for around $15,000 or so with 30-50k miles on it.

The set up on these cars (SLK32 / SRT6) with just a few mods can easily place you into the 12's and even into the 11's.

I've always LOVED the 211 wagons. They just look so sick, and kickk assssssssssss. Pictures of the 212 wagon are out, and I love them too. Hopefully I'll be able to own a 211 or 212 wagon one day. I'm not a wagon person, but I sure am a 211 E55 Wagon person.

As for the glorified chrysler, it's actually the other way around. The crossfire was built off the SLK frame.

Yea, the last one I found was about a year ago on Auto Trader. I haven't checked recently though.

Crossfire wise, I may pick up one up sometime in the future!
