Maybe some of you remember me, maybe not.
I used to own a gold 4 door cavalier with the first carbon fiber roof on the org.
When I wrecked it I bought a 2005 Scion tC which eventually, with the help of Ryan and a few other members of GJBO, we installed a turbo on it.
I then went backwards, the tC lost some relaibility and I didn't want to keep putting money in it or risk being left on the side of the road trying to make it to work.
I went out and bought a base model Mazda 3 5door hatchback, no perks or options added.
Yesterday after 2 years of making payments and saving toward something better I picked up a brand new, fully loaded 2010 Mazdaspeed 3.
I'll get some real driving time in it tomorrow but just from the way home I know I'm gonna love this car.

Holy cow...you haven't been on for a while! I used to help you create signatures for JBO members waaaay back in the day.
Car looks awesome.....I saw one the other day and I really like them.

I despise the front end of those cars, not sure what they were thinking. Aside from that, I think it's a great FWD car! Congrats on the purchase

Nice car dude, although I'm still out on deciding on the styling. I won't call it a pile of junk though, the numbers are there, it has to be fun (minus torque steer)
Thanks guys! I've been busy working, kind of in and out of the car scene, I guess it's partly due to age and a few other things.
I got some good driving time in it today, really like the blue-tooth, stereo, the seats, the auxiliary interior lighting, and the power. I'll get over the LOL grill, maybe get a grill kit or something when they come around and start making after market parts. The engine and exhaust have a great sound zoom zoom

I've heard so many horror stories about these engines not being able to take much more than Mazda is already throwing at them.
I love the car, I really want one...I would just get into way to much trouble.

I love the car. Fast, fun, and a hatchback. But damnit, its ugly as sin. the previous MS3's were perfect. Subtle, yet aggressive enough. Just my .02 cents. Definitely not knocking it b/c those things are fast and fun as hell. My co-worker has one, let me ride in it, and damn. FUN. Enjoy it! Love the old Cav as well!

Interior and powertrain is sex. Where else can you gain a real 20hp with a factory cold air intake? Exterior is LOL SMILEY FACE. I like the first generation better.

Had the car for a week now, still getting used to the change in transmission, that aside. I'm really liking it I'd probably say it's the best car I've owned up to this point. I really like the extra's like the push button ignition, makes starting the car after a stall
, quick an easy . I still don't understand how the mirror self dims, but it's nice to have. Still taking things slow, but from the last couple of nights merging on to the highway this gets up and goes

I don't know why I waited so long to get a manual as apposed to a automatic, it's quite a bit more fun

i'm srry but i find this car quite hideous. and i really don't mean to be a dick when i say that, i just really don't like it.

And i understand the auto to the manual switch...I drove a friends j that was an auto and i was like where's the 3rd pedal?
