so i picked this up today: '09 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS.
before anyone asks why i went with the GS instead of the GT, i couldn't find a GT in my price range around here, and the 4 cyl is just fine by me. the extra 100 hp the GT has would probably get me into trouble.
anywho, on with the pics!
the color is Maizen Blue Pearl, and i got it up with only 8800 miles on it. i don't plan on doing anything crazy with it, probably just tint and a couple of very minor mods. i'll get better pics of it soon enough, i didn't have time for a decent photo shoot between getting it home and going to work.

are you referring to the sebring in you sig as the POS that this is replacing or a jbody?
How does the new model do on gas milage? My friend has a 3g 2.4 manual and it blows for mpg - he was lucky to get 28 highway...
Great car I'm sure, just could never get down with the styling of it.
I've never really been an Eclipse fan. Way too much of a d-bag magnet for me. Kudos to you on the new ride though.

yeah, the sebring. it was starting to fall apart and become a money pit... so it was time to replace it. as far as milage, i think it's only rated at 28 highway too, not great but a lot better than the sebring and right about the same as i got with my old sunfire.
dtp, go paint a pink triangle on something.

RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
Never was a fan of that body style. I drove a GSX Spyder back in the day and loved it though. I think it might have been a 99. I have never been able to get myself into thinking that a Mitsu (minus the evo's) are good cars. Good pick up though if it makes you happy.
There is no such thing as a GSX Spyder.
You should have not used that title, because technically that Eclipse is a updated chassis/version of your old Chrysler. But I bet the 4cyl will be more reliable then the old V6.
I dig the color and styling too.

There is if you swap one. A local guy is doing an AWD swap to his turboed 2g Spyder.

-Richmond ROD 6-speed(will get sometime)
-Posi 12-bolt(built w/eaton posi unit and richmond 3.73 gears)
-Disc brake and 5 lug swap
+little extras
The styling is starting to grow on me.. I just don't really like the tails on em. I drove a red one..same model.. I liked the ride and it was quick enough to be fun, but the gt's are pretty damn quick.

I actually loved the styling a lot, I just can't seem to get those awful tail lights to look good to me. IMHO the car is awesome but the lights kill it. They take a really cool car design and make it fail.

yeah, it's an updated version, but it's got 130,000 less miles on it and not falling apart.
actually, the 2.5 v6 in the sebring is a pretty nice engine, havn't had any problems with it at all. it's just a bunch of other things that are going wrong with the car that is the reason im getting rid of it and got something new.
as for the tail lights, i actually like them. im thinking about smoking them a little if i do get around to putting tint on the windows though. we'll see.
jeffie, i hardly think you're one to talk about being gay.

I was waiting for someone to say this. Yes it is possible, and has been done, but no Mitsubishi didn't produce a GSX Spyder from the factory. The closest they ever got was the 3000GT VR4 Spyder *drool*
Yeah and when 3000gts came out with there last generation off the sweat shop lines it was like what...? 30-60 grand?
I have to admit for this guy... his pictures dont do justice on the paint job these things have. I just drove a 09 Spyder the same exact color and the paint was amazing. Very smooth ride. Looked great with the top down. It was a slap shift auto(which are a waste of time buuut) but it was still fun. I give it a 8/10 out of personal experience
To his his own. Hope you like it man.
Congrats on the new car. I love it. It is blue too.
I figured the title was about the sebring lol
