I decided to sell my AE86 and my 1995 Civic and put some saved up cash and get a nice car. I still have my Integra i'll be keeping to play with. I'm looking for something fun yet comfortable to drive. Here are some cars I'm looking at that I could use your opinions on. I'm staying 15,000 or under because I don't want a car payment so I'm paying cash.
2001 BMW 330ci its Topaz blue black leather interrior every option possible but navigation. Its got 19" staggered wheels that look real nice. Magnaflow exhaust that sounds good. Its got 107k miles on it. REALLY clean and tastefully modded with a few small things.
2004 BMW 330i its also blue with tan interrior. Loaded all stock with 67k on it.
2002 Lexus is300 Absolute Red black leather/suede interrior. Its got 19" wheels that look pretty good. Unknown exhaust but sounds real clean and quiet but purrs. In dash touch screen cd/dvd player.
2004 Mazda RX8 its yellow haven't looked at it yet.
Forgot to mention...i'm trying to stay RWD or AWD not really interested in a FWD car. I can't do a two seater because I have a daughter. Otherwise I would have put a 350z or a S2k on my list. I've looked for a few G35's but nothing in my price range.
I would vote IS300. NOTHING about those car's that I do not like. Great looks, decent power, roomy, comfortable, and a pretty decent aftermarket.

I agree, it fits all my needs. Its a good price. I'm pretty set on this car but still keeping my options open. I'm spending a good amount of cash want to make sure its what I really like. I'm thinking a nice drop, 18's with a set of staggered wheels with a sick lip on it. (No negative camber) but the biggest I can fit under there.
RX-8. I've met three people that own them up here, and they all love them. One drives his year round. The Lexus would be my second choice. BMWs are nice, but I'd have the '04 if it came between those two.
2010 Honda Fit LX
Avoid the RX8 they are fairly trouble prone and rotaries are notoriously unreliable in the long term. And expensive to fix.
The BMW's are also expensive to fix and are getting older. I'd say stick to the Lexus it's a good quality car that's easy and reasonable to fix.

You can't go wrong with the IS300. Decent power, wonderful handling, reliable, great looking. Fun and convenience (4 doors) rolled into one package.

Hate BMW, but Lexus is good. For the money, I'd pick up this black 300C I saw for 14k.

Don't piss away your money on garbage from Chrysler. There's a genuine reason why they were the most financially broke company of the big 3. Their product is pure rubbish.

AE86 is sold. Girl takes Delivery on it tomorrow. The civic went today. So both cars are sold. I haven't found anything that caught my interest besides the Lexus is300. The only thing holding me back is its an auto. Its really hard to find a manual is300.
Damn I tried lol
Im still stickin with the BMW

The 300C is nothing to chake a stick at, trust me. The thing is damn smart, Chrysler did a good job with it...if I've been impressed by anything Chryslers done its the 300. VERY advanced vehicle and VERY diagnostically sophisticated....A+ on that one so don't give me that "chrysler sucks" BS.
The RX8 is the new Rotary....Have heard nothing bad of them, the gen 8 Rotary is rediculously different than the old rotaries. So dont assimilate the problems with the old rotaries to the new ones... They are far more solid.
Out of the three the LExus sounds the best option..second best being the near stock beamer with 67k.

I drove an rx-8 while I was looking at cars a couple of months ago, it handled great but has a really weird powerband because of the rotary engine, I'd avoid it due to what I've heard from someone I know who has one, he told me not to get one.
1. Lexus
2. 04 BMW
3. 01 BMW
4. RX-8
I'm pretty set on the Lexus is300. Looked at a lot of cars today and nothing tickled my fancy like the Lexus did. Just sitting inside the Lexus I got all excited. Nothing else felt this way. Plus I spent all night driving my lady friends is300 around when we went out. I really like the power band. Its comfortable all the way through. Its no speed demon but has a lot of torque to make it more than comfortable to drive. No matter what gear or RPM you're sitting at it feels peppy. Power can easily be gained from these motors as well. Monday morning I'm going in to talk to the dealer to try to work a deal. We'll see what happens from there.
Those BMWs sound nice................... the RX8 not so much lol

My brother was in the same boat a couple of years ago. Wanted a 4 door, comfortable and something that would 'ticke' him haha.
Got a 2003 g35 4dr automatic. Wasn't a big fan of the auto but it grew on him and its def still fun to drive especially in the manumatic.
I've always liked IS300s... they are very well put together cars imo. Remember watching a video on youtube, turbo is300.. fuc*ing nuts!
I vote IS300
as far as RX8, pretty much everyone I know who has/had one hated it. And I seem to remember them recalling the entire engine.... nothing says reliablity like recalling the motor.
Well, I decided to go with the lexus is300. I liked it the best, it fit all my needs, and it was the best deal. So yesterday I went in and worked out a deal, forked over 11,000 out the door and brought home a 2002 Absolute Red Lexus is300 with 82k miles on it. I'm loving the car. I'll start another thread when I get some good photos of her. Thanks for your opinions guys.
I knew what I needed/wanted to do. Sometimes its just nice to hear others thoughts. I don't care about the civic but I miss my AE86
i see you have no domestics on your list but seriously consider a CTS mines @!#$ awsome... but from your list id say IS300 beautiful cars...
