Right her.
Looks clean. Comes with two motors, internals, etc. Says the rear diff is welded for drifting. Im a little bothered by that. How would welding the diff affect daily driving? KBB is $1500. Lemme know what you guys think.
Welded diff = hack job. It makes the wheels spin at the same speeds all the time. You could DD it, but it will eat tires. There is also the fact that the weld will bread and destroy the diff.

Thats kinda what I figured. Im seeing quite a few with LSDs and welded diffs. Does everyone who owns one of those think they need to drift in it?
LSDs are different than welded diffs.
LSDs(limited slip differential) allows the tires to rotate at different speeds while cornering, but lock both axle shafts together when one begins to slip/spin(loss of traction).
Welded diffs lock the axles together all the time and allows the car to break traction easier in corners, but improves traction in a straight line. Spools are the proper way of doing this and the eliminate the spider gears in the rear.

my bro has a welded diff in his s14, he has dd the car for almost 6 monthes now. i don't like the idea of it, but it does the job
Seems high for a non running 240. How do you know the motor in it is any good?
Steer away! The guy has NO IDEA whats in the engine in there, welded diff, inst sure if the alternator or starter need to be hooked up. Pure hackjob through and through.
I've DD'ed a welded diff before. Will never do it again. Very annoying.
fortune cookie say: better a delay than a disaster
I know a ton of guys at UNOH driving S13/4 with welded diffs. They actually are more reliable than any after market or OEM swap LSD's that are currently made. This guy really doesn't seem to know the facts about the motors so i would definitely tread cautiously (sp?). Either way he says motor 1 has 8:1 CR pistons and motor 2 is built for a turbo. So neither one of those will be able to drop in right off the bat. The coilovers (E-Motor) are the same ones I'm running so those are great. Right away I say BS to having no rust on the frame as they are well known for rust so i'd check on that.
If you want to wait a while, when I finish the motor I'm building and swap them, I can sell you my old one fairly cheap.
Either way, give me a call if you are gunna pick it up and I'll take a look at it with you. And you know I'll help work on it =)
8:1 NA would be a dog.

This ^^^ one is decent but Id have to beat him down like 1500 or so. Since the trans needs work and Id have to get the windshield replaced and probably paint.
Another one
Looks decent to me. Needs paint but says the body work is done.
lol only thing to be able to drive it would be the windshield, which shouldnt be too bad

Ding ding ding. When it rains and you turn a tight corner one wheel is trying to spin faster than the other. Just for the fact it has to take a longer route. So the inner wheel is trying to spin faster but can't...somethings got to give and the rear end is stronger than the tires. The tire breaks loose. Could be very annoying in the rain when you need to get out into traffic.
Im thinking about calling the guy about the second one in my last post. My dad knows a guy who does painting on the side so maybe I could have a complete S13 for around 2k if I can beat the guy down.
That I should keep my car.
