One worthy chassis

Typical Ford sounding good as hell.

Yes Ford, we want this car, or to very least this chassis. It would make your portfolio complete.

Eh... It's like a Mustang, Sentra, and RSX jizzed in a bucket, and this was the bastard child.

Not really feeling it... But that's not to say I wouldn't drive it.

I like it but only because it reminds me of a G8. I'd still rather have a G8.

I love it. Sounds absolutely beautiful. Looks perfect and very "euro" or "german" looking. perfect styling for that style of car. But on the other hand, Ford would need to reevaluate what they want in their line up and how many cars. People had the same debate about GM, I remember. If they could work this into their lineup without flooding the market with a bunch of options, I say go for it. Sexy car.

I have been in a 2005 Ford Falcon when I was last in Australia. I think Ford should of brought this car to the US to begin with. I am sure that it wont be coming stateside though because of the amount of work involved to make it work. But if they do bring it over in say.... a year or 2, I would definitely buy myself a GT at the very least

Maybe I'm just missing something but the video about the exhaust isn't what the car sounds like but what it can sound like if you buy that exhaust. Heck, with the right exhaust my Cobalt could probably sound like that.
Also, I found it weird that they couldn't find a closed area to film that video, the other end of the alley looks to be a fairly busy road. Again, maybe I'm just missing something.

Re: Another good move for Ford

The video was not from Ford. It was a private party making a video about that car with that exhaust.

1. No you cannot make your Cobalt sound like that.
2. If it's anything like the V8 Mustangs, even the stock exhaust Ford puts on these will sound good. Open it up a bit and get what that vid showed. It has been a big thing with Ford since they introduced the modular motors that they always sound amazing. You gotta do some hack @!#$ to make them sound bad. That motor has everything to do with how good that exhaust made it sound.

Details on the power plant options in this thing? All i can find is an inline six, inline six turbo, and 5.4 V8.

Inline six turbo...really??

Ford's V8 generally sound good, it is distinct. That aftermarket exhaust only amplifies the sound of what that engine spits out.
The only way your Cobalt will remotely sound like that clip, is if you add 4 more cylinders. Adding a exhaust to your engine only adds annoying noise, and in return sounds puny; like 98.5% here who have it done & thinks their exhaust sounds pleasant.

Engine and Transmission
4.0L DOHC DI-VCT I6
4.0L DOHC DI-VCT TURBO I6
BOSS 290 5.4L DOHC 4V V8
5-speed automatic transmission with Sequential Sports Shift
6-Speed manual transmission
ZF 6-speed automatic transmission with Sequential Sports Shift

Problem here it is measured in KW/NM. You may want to use a conversion chart.

Also check FPV
