Dana made a mistake and is letting it be known. Not Toyotas fault.

keep in mind a supplier build to the customers specs, remember the powerstroke thing a fews years back. where Ford pointed the finger at Navistar(the builder of the power stroke). The Navistar claimed we built it to Fords specs and they where not at fault. The article didn't say if the shafts u joints or if the Drive shaft was pulling out form the trans or transfercase. Remember the tundra had the same problem with shaft spliting for the housing the transfer case.

I'm in a nursing union and i can say they are nothing like the lecherous scumbags of the UAW. I support unions that really are out to better the worker without helping themselves to the point that our jobs go overseas. I despise the UAW.

Aww how cute you're filling in for Bill while he's gone. Just like a little puppet. You sound just like him. Almost makes me think you let him use your account.

As for the recall, sucks to hear. Toyota has had a LOT of bad news lately. Seems like they were sweeping a lot of stuff under the rug then bam everything hit at once. Its like a cheating GF @!#$ just hit the fan and blew up everywhere. One after another. Toyota is a good company and has plenty of fans. Having a recall they can bounce back from, but all these at once is REALLY gonna put a damper on things. Its going to take a lot to recover after all this @!#$.

Dana or Toyota or whoever, how can you screw up something as straightforward as a driveshaft?

Thank you for lumping all of us in with the UAW.

This may or may not even be a worker related issue. It may just be as simple as a design issue or machining process. Dana admitted it had a problem and is trying to fix it. Toyota did not @!#$ this one up.

in total there have been 34,000 driveshafts that they said could be defective. Toyota ony had the 8,000 and is the only company to issue a reacall. If im not mistaken Ford has some of the faulty driveshafts too. So does that mean that Toyota should be flammed for a recall or should the other companys that are getting these driveshafts be flammed for NOT issuing recalls?
