I got a spoiler from someone here on the org. My problem now... Car=Tan, Spoiler=Silver.
I have some touch-up paint that matches my car. If I sand the spoiler and use plastic-primer if needed, can I use the touch-up paint to paint the spoiler? Or is it not intended as a make-something-change-colors paint?

just get it painted....paint and labor it shouldnt cost ya but 100 -150 bucks

And I hope to hell you're talking about spray-can touch-up and not the little nail-polish bottle kind.
You're just not going to get a finish you'll like so it'll end up looking horrible on your car. Especially with a metallic colour like you've got.

i was picturing someone doing it w/ that little brush and bottle while i was reading the post
go to a paint store if you want to do it yourself. They will be able to mix a thing of paint to match your vehicle and put it in an aresol can. Then you can use some good spray clear ontop of that.
That method is same as shooting it out of a gun, just in a spray can.
ohh yea, prep it by sanding it down with 1500 grit wet sandpaper
then the old paint will be a god enough base you wont need to prime

Yes I got some spray touch-up paint lol. I have some left over from my doors.
My friends got a sprayer that hooks up to a air compressor, if we got paint for that would I get a better finish? Would I also be able to get that mixed at a paint store?
Otherwise, can anyone think of a good second color to go with tan... lol... Cuz I can't.

Your prolly better off taking it to any shop Dave,
if you do it yourself you prolly won't get the color right, since the color on your car is faded.
and yes using a spray gun will more and likely have better effect IF you or your friend (Jim???) no what they are doing, and alot of it is in the prep work
Spray can stuff is NOT the same as ACTUAL stuff a body shop uses
