Alright I have holes drilled, and I'm using door panel style push tabs in the slots on the back of the sideskirts, however they're not as flush as I'd like them to be.
So how do they mount from the factory?
THANKS!
I heard semen was a really good adhesive...

are you sure you're using the right push style tabs?

No I'm not, as I said I'm using door panel style ones
.
GM couldn't find @!#$ in their computer, it showed the tabs being on the sides, not seperate. They slide off so I don't know what the deal is.
So there have to be people with GT's who took off the factory sides, HELP!
the only person i can think of right off hand would be Wild Weasel... you might wanna ask him.
Why didn't you just come over & look at my driveway ornament??? LOL

Because we'd have to pop one side off at least
.
Wild Weasel, chime in!
Try your local automotive paint supply store. Most of them carry a good supply of OEM style fasteners...

I think you're going to need the right plugs.
They clip into the sides and have a sort of hourglass shape to them. When you plug them in, they pull the sides in flush.
There's also a rail that you have to attach below the door for the sides to clip into and to provide support.
Then the straps just screw in underneath.
Try gm part number 22658182 this is the factory retainer package. They come a pack of eight.
For anyone whose put the RK sides on their GT or 03+ coupe, I got good results from dremelling out space in the back of the RK sides and bonding in the plugs in the appropriate spots. It turned out way more secure than the 2-sided tape method.
Thanks Weasel and the guy who gave me the part #! You both rock
.
Hopefully the holes I've drilled are the right size now
....as they're the size as the door panel ones.....
Ordered!
Wild Weasel, please tell me the holes in the side of the car are the same size as the ones that your door panel clips to, I'm soo stressed that they're too big and these clips won't work now.
Honestly.... I'm just not sure. I think they're slightly smaller but if you made the holes such that those plugs fit really tight, then you're probably going to be fine.
does shrams have black doors , like the do for the bumpers , LOL
No holes are in my doors!
Thanks again Weas!
