can u guys with shaved inner tails please post pics, its a hard choice to order the cf bezel or just shave the holes and inner taillight,
please post pics, or even better post pics with a 03+ cav with toyota outters
dont shave them if your going toyo tails

I think shaving the inner tails looks god awful. The back end of the car just looks empty and looks really out of place. Plus you lose your backup lights. Come to think of that, is that even street legal since you are technically losing the reflectors on the back of the car?
^^^no its not, but who cares. half the stuff we do on our cars isnt street legal

i love the shaved look. my trunk has been shaved for 3+ years now and i dont regret it. ive gotten use to backing up w/ no reverse lights and ive never had a problem when i was pulled over. cops never mentioned at all about not having reverse lights. check my cardomain site for pics. also i know esb and crystal have shaved lids too

Well, I just think it looks bad, thats only my opinion, and everyones is different. I just couldn't get used to not having anything there, lol. Then again, my backup lights barely show since I have blue xenon ones in there, so it looks awesome blue, but you barely see anything in the rearview, lol.
I agree with Exodus, the trunk looks way to empty without something there.
But I don't like the tiny taillights all cavaliers have(maybe someday someone will fix this).
Anyone ever thought about removing the spacer under the outer tails and trying a larger tail that goes down to the bumper?

i just figured every state required reverse lights, i know in PA if your car came with them, you gotta have them, ny requires them, im sure more states require them than don't. and besides, I for one, like to see where im backing up to and like to inform others that i am about to back up, you'd be suprised at how many people don't notice a car moving backwards, but notice the lights

Oh, and btw...I don't know if you were making fun of my tags and no reverse lights or what...I have a temp. backup light. I'll have permanent ones a little later. I just didn't have any in that pic. But I've learned to back up without them...I'm just getting them for other people's sake. And I've been pulled over a million times (hence the tags) and never had anything said about reverse lights.
That LED bar is double-side taped to my bumper for the time being until we get some permanent ones.

some times i miss my shaved trunk lid but for the most part i just felt the car was to empty without the inners

Probably only states that have safety inspections?? :dunno:
On my car, I'm workin' on shaving the inners. Their dis-connected in terms of bulbs on the inside, but I mounted a pair of fog lights to the back of the spare tire well. There's been other JBO people that did the same. Only one is hooked up b/c I need to lay some wire for a relay. Right now that one is hooked up to the stock back-up wiring.
Thats the exact same way i did my back up lights paul they worked great there

I had an idea for some cool reverse lights that would go perfect with those tails
