Yup on the 2004 Cavalier Models, a special (or limited) edition of the LS Sport Cavalier was created. They had the Sunfire sedan spoiler, "CAVALIER" chrome door sills, and either black or silver racing stripes (presumably left over from the Blazer S-10 XTreme series) depending on the color of the car itself. The Special Edition package was not available on the Rally Yellow color LS Sport Cavaliers.
There are also a million cars out there that have some sort of "limited edition" badge or sticker that was put on by the dealership to try to make them seem special.
For those, it means nothing. If my car had such a thing, I'd remove it.
my 04 cavalier is a ls port special edition.. silver w/ black racing stripes... well what is left of one anyways
Thanks

This is true Mr. Weasel...unfortunately they have started to do this with Cobalts at Chevrolet Dealerships in my area, which of course means incredible mark ups.

right, they arent really limited addtion cavs, just something the dealer did to try and get the rest off the lot
now there are some are js out there, like the ones that have the red and aqua colored interior
I bought a Limited Edition badge from Autozone and put it on my car

Weas, you make it seem as if GM putting on old 4-door sunfire spoilers and old S10 Xtreme racing stripes to get rid of backstock (and to have a reason to charge 2K-3K more) is somehow more respectable...

Oh soooo close! But the door sills were a black textured plastic sticker. I know as i have them on my car. I wish GM had the chrome ones but saddly they do not.
Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.

this is what i was going to say, along with the sunfires that came with the black roof
Um no actualy the 04 Cavi did indeed come from GM in a limited adition form. They had raceing stripes a different spoiler and the door sill plates and it was listed as a spring special limited edition. This is the olny limited Cavi. I know of that actualy came from the factory and wasn't dealer made.

Dude... did you actually read all the replies in this thread?
honestly the only thing that i can think of as anything 'limited edition' aka rare were:
sunfires with the black roof AKA talon copies
sunfires with seafoam or red interior
cavaliers with the blue CLOTH interior
cavaliers with the blue speckle interior
cavalier/sunfire 'verts (relatively rare, esp. the 5-spd 2000s)
silver or yellow pre 2000 sunfires
where's all the cavalier lovin' from gm? damn
1998 Chevrolet Cavalier
5-spd

Indeed, so close, lol. I saw the chrome sills somewhere before...maybe on the GM Accessories site...
