I have a 97 Sunfire GT, and I don't like the front bumper, but i do like the bumper on the 2000-2002 SF GT. How much work would it be to switch them? I know i need to hook up the foglights, but is there anything else? Or will it just be a bolt on?
Should pretty much be a bolt on. The head lights and turn signals are the same (keep your clear ones, 2000-2002 are amber housing) so it'd just be the fogs. I don't care for those bumpers though, but to each there own.

You'll need the crush guard (absorber) as well.
Do you have a pic of the one you don't want? Let me know what your going to do with it, thanks.
I've got some pictures here, none of them are really straight from the front, but you can get the basic idea.

I'm not sure yet what I'm going to do with it. But I'm up in Canada, so that might get expensive with shipping and all if you want it., plus it'll need to be repainted.
has anybody done this before?
It's no different than any other stock bumper swap between Sunfires. Plenty, including myself, have swapped back and forth between different ones.
Get the bumper and the absorber and it'll bolt right up.
You'll probably have to grind out rivets to remove your absorber and get some big screws to secure the new one on. Your local dealership should be able to give you those screws since they replace these things all the time after minor accidents.
