I was working on the car this evening, and I looked at the roof...the paint is gone!
The clear coat is in perfect condition, the base coat is gone, and in a few specks, the primer is gone...
WTF is going on?!?!?!
let me get this straight theres clear coat, but no paint underneath?

Did someone continously wax the car after the paint wore off?
Did u use any kinda of wax and grease remover before u cleared? Like Prep-sol or alchol cleaner? Because once u put paint on none of that stuff should touch paint.. will react with the paint. Just dust the car off with a tack rag but i figure u already know that..
Maybe it leaked down through the roof?
Upon further inspection, it is looking like it might just be the clear coat...we were able to scratch some off, even...
One of our commercial customers at my work (Autozone) said he would sand down and reshoot the whole roof and pillars for $50...Im probably going to do it, if not the whole car.
