Rvinyl.com - Are they good?

First off, I will say I have searched on here for this company and found a few suggestions, but not really what I was looking for. I found mostly reviews of their cheap dash vinyl kit, which I was thinking about buying until I realized how bad it looks.

What I Want

So I am just wondering if anyone has bought any vinyl sheets from them. I want to get a 12" x 24" piece of black carbon fiber vinyl (for like $10) to make my own carbon fiber front bumper emblem and maybe eyelids and maybe cover the rear emblem too. Just tell me if you think it is a good deal or not because I have always wanted a c/f front emblem and some eyelids and this is cheap enough. So what do you think?

I have bought decals and a dash kit from them before. The vinyl holds up really well, I would definently recommend them.

I stock the carbon fiber vinyl as well if you or anyone need it

As for RVinyl.com... I used them once a few years back and the experience was good.

Agreed.

If you've always wanted CF emblems and stuff... then look into getting CF emblems and stuff. The vinyl will NOT look like CF. Not even from 10' away. It'll just look like garbage you stuck on because you don't know any better.

Well now you know better. So save your money.

x2

IMO vinyl cf, or vinyl period on interior is just tasteless. do it right the first time, and you'll be much more happy with the outcome

Ok, thanks for the input here. I guess I won't get the cf vinyl. But where can I buy a sheet of carbon fiber so I can still do the same things as I wanted to in my first post? Does the carbon fiber shop still sell it? And would I glue it on or can I get it so the sheet comes with an adhesive (like the vinyl). Thanks again for the help

well, real cf would take alot more than just sticking it on. youd need to lay the resin/kleer kote, then wetsand, etc

but for your application, you would be best served to check this link out. already made sheets of cf that come with adhesive backing

I still don't think that looks like real carbon fiber, but can you give me a link it the sheets that come with the adhesive backing already on it? All I can find is the one fastened on or bonded on with epoxy, not the adhesive backing on their site.

OK thanks Eazy, you think I should go with the glossy finish over matte? Thanks for the help as I will probably just order some of this stuff.

depends on the application i guess. and what kinda look you are trying to achieve, but if it were me personally, i would prolly get the glossy finish, just based on the fact that if it was too matte and dull, id be upset. with the glossy, theres still ways to matte it down a bit and achieve the exact look u like.

hope that helps

What about this sheet of c/f? It's made by JSP and it says it is real c/f.
