Heres the deal,

I have a webasto aftermarket sunroof in my cav that was in the car when i bought it, but the stupid thing dont work.

so I called around to see about gettin it fixed and they said like 750 for the damn motor plus the cost of labor, does anyone have any ideas about what i could do that would not cost so much,

would having a manual one put in be cheaper or would that be just as expensive, im not really sure, any ideas would help, Thanx in advance!

What all would be involved to install a factory one? This was the route I was thinkin about goin.

did you track down the company that installed it originally? i had one in my 99 cav and the warranty was like 10 years. never used it, i bought the car used, so it might only be valid for the original owner. my grandmother has one in her 03, also bought used. me being the dumb ass that i am just had to play with it and break the sunshade thing. took it back and they fixed it. no charge.

try the installer first see if they can help you out. there is usually a sticker stuck on the door jamb, or behind the motor cover.

$750 to replace the motor is just plain ridiculous!

Look at the motor and see if you can replace it yourself. You can probably get one from a wrecker. The stock sunroof in ours and plenty of other cars is also a Wabasco.
