Hey guys I got one side on last night, but I'm worried about the fitment - this is the best we could get it. I don't have any pics of holes we drilled out, but theyre basically all just slightly lower than stock. We also had to break off a clip that seems to hold the rubber seal around the window that touches the metal under the mirror - I'm not sure if its important but it looked like it was secured from the top and the bottom anyway.
They look good from far, you can see the gap at the top - I believe this is because a piece of the gasket is missing there - easy enough to fix I guess...
Here's the gap in closeup
The shape of the curve on these doesnt seem to line up with the coupe doors at all
And the gap at the bottom
I'm curious as to whether anyone else who's done this has them fitting better than me, and if so, could you pretty pretty please take a pic of the door underneath the mirror, or just closeups like I took of your mirrors, in those three places so I can see your fitment. Any suggestions would be appreciated - thanks

those particular lights are for a 4 door. you'll need to find another set that s specific to a 2 door. the a pillars are set at different angles for the coupes and sedans.
I know that thanks anyway

You do know that the coupe and sedan have TOTALLY different shaped corners where the mirrors mount...right???
My Car Domain
Of course I do... Still waiting for an answer from someone else who has done this.

Thanks for the responses - have you guys had any problems with water? I think im gonna have to seal up behind with a bunch of silicone or something because theyre obviously not sealed as well as the coupe ones.

That's how my sedan mirrors looked on my old coupe... til it burned
The fitment is pretty similar on the convertible.... but they do fit a little better than the coupe.
I don't know why there are so many sedan mirrors available, but few coupes?!?
cant you just swap the bases or fiberglass something up?

suks to see you are having problems with them):
the diff is that the toyota ones fold in when the alarm is set.
and they look cooler!
wow! my toyo mirrors fit just fine...but at 1st they didnt..i drilled the holes out til i was satisfied...id say take em off and keep drilling out the holes...
Bumpity bump! I got the drivers side mirror on today - they both are fitted as best as I could get them (about 2.5 hours work per side). Now I have a much bigger problem!!!
I can definitely tell these were made for RHD, because I cant see SHAT out of the drivers side, it really is impossible, since it is actually angled a LOT more than the passenger side. Is there ANYTHING I can do? I have the mirror itself angled as much as it possibly can, and still, half of the mirror is just showing the side of my car lol... Any ideas or am I SOL?? Thanks

get used to that, i just lean forward a little bit if i wanna see out it or i push the whole mirror itself out a little bit too and that helps.
