I need to know how to shave a trunk lid on 95 cavalier.... thanks
get some metal and weld it in where the cut outs for the reverse lights are. same thing with the keyhole. i believe you can buy a shaved fiberglass one too, but i'm not positive. basically grind down to bare metal, weld, grind welds, use a little body filler to smooth it out, sand, paint.
weld

no youll have to make them yourself. its easy...remove your inner tail lights and trace them out onto paper or cardboard. then use that as a template and transfer it onto your metal. and cut
the trick is to remember to weld a part onto the inside lip of the trunk so no water will get inside.

inside lip of the trunk? could you elaborate a bit? shouldnt it be watertight after you weld in and smooth out where the taillights were?

^^^ You have to weld a plate into the side area of the bucket where the light was... Look at your trunk/light & it should make sense

your tail light isnt flat, its has depth to it. so if you cut out a template by tracing the outline on the trunk lid, your going to have a hole where the lid ends (right where the inner and outter tails meet). your gonna have to put a tab on the template so you can return that tab back the dept of the light to seal off the trunk lid.

yup that explains it pretty well. i mentioned this because ive seen a few people have neglected to do this and it only leads to problems down the road
