I did a search, but I didn't find anything so hopefully I'm not reposting what someone has already asked about these. I found these new transparent red LED tails on eBay, and I was wondering if anyone had these yet???
I bought chrome altezzas a while back with the intention of using the clear red taillight spray on them because I've always wanted transparent red tails for my Cav. Since someone has finally produced them, I thought it would just be easier to buy these new tails instead of painting my other set that I never got around to doing.
I guess I was just wondering how do they look in person?.......do they use the stock bulbs plus LED's?........is the reverse light area red, too?
Wow, I would actually purchase those for my car.
However I'd have to takethem apart and remove that cheap looking reflector on the side though...

Yeah, I really would like to get these tails, too. The only thing though is that they're $100 while all of the other tails for the Cav are $50 or less. I guess it's because these are the only ones with LED's, but I would be happy to have transparent red tails w/o LED's.....I didn't see any w/o LED's though.
100$ isn't bad, but If I would like to here some testimonials first.
If I am getting into the 100$$ range and these lights aren't anything specail... I'll just grab a set of toyo's and call it a day.

i saw these on ebay along with smoked ones and was wondeing how these get wired up, in the pic on ebay it shows two wires coming from the back and says NO instructions included. just splice into factory 12v and ground???
oh and chris you could just not hook up the l.e.d.'s to have kind of the look your going for as it still uses factory bulbs as well.
Id wire them up like my 03 tails and toyos personally.
They have potential i think. Not a fan of the backup light being tinted red tho.

OK GUYS...YOU SEE THAT RED CAVI WITH THE LED TAILS!! Well thats mine...i just registered and happened to search this lol...Well....let me tell you guys something about these tails...they look bad but SUCK BALLS!! The third week i had them...3 LED's blew out....oh and i bought them in march...when i asked if they could replaced defective item they said they couldnt....do not buy these...also just today i noticed that the ring that had the LED's unglued and is loose inside the housing now!! and on top of that...the plastic on the inside was beginning to melt! WITH STOCK BULBS!!!!! And the really suck to go in reverse because the white light doesnt go through red housing so its all RED!!! I even tried using LED For reverse and didnt help. this was the biggest dissapointment ever...it was more dissapointing cuz they were 100 and i thought i was all cool with these lights. If you really find the need to buy these here is the way to install: btw they are abou 70 bucks on ebay now....but these guys do not stand behind their products as they claim.
FOR OUTER LENSES
1. Just replace the housing and screw them on.
2. WIRING: there is a black and orange wire. ORANGE=power, BLACK=ground
3. you could buy some wire connectors or splice the wires...connectors are safer.
4. connect the black wire from new tails to the black wire on the origional bulb.
5. Then the orange wire goes to : the BROWN wire if you want them as signals OR the white (yellowish) wire if you want them on as soon as you turn your lights on.
6. The white (yellowish) wire might be like a greenish color on the passenger side (like mine).
INNER LENSES
These will only turn on when you go in reverse!!
1. you will do the same steps as the outer ones.
