I thought that this would be pretty slick and it beats out damaging your bumper.

think i would have had to modify it so it doesnt stand out so bad when its in the closed position, almost looks worse then just having the plate visable.

Yeah these are pretty slick.

Here's mine... Had to modify it so it flips down instead of up.

It cleans things up nice at shows.

^^ oh and dont mind the "straightness" of the plate.
In this vid... it was a working progress.

Dang that is pretty sweet...

I am glad you don't have to have front license plates in PA. I shaved my license plate holder on my front GT bumper and it looks 100X better....

Cool pics!

post is kinda old, maybe I can get a response....?

How does the plate withstand the wind during driving?

The only reason I would get this would be to keep the cops off my tail, and give them one less reason to pull me over.

Thanks

why would having them give them a reason to pull you over.

basically its for police to be able to see your licence from the front and back.

There is torsional spring that keeps the plate from blowing over in the wind, If you mount the hid-a-way as per factory instructions
If you modify this so it flips down like mine, you have to mount and bend a small bar that keeps it from flipping up, and allow it to be moved out of the way so it can flip up.
I only flip up the plate for photo ops.. plus I hate seeing plates zip tied to mesh and bumpers.

Plus by law the plate must be on the outter most portion of your vechile or bumper, and can been seen from a side angle view. Mines not exactly by law, but out far enough that it's not questioned.

not having one in a state that requires one will get you pulled...

cool. I just wanted another way to mount the plate w/o drilling into my bumper.
Thanks for your response!
