i have flat hood pins and you just have to wd40 them everyonce in a while...the aerocatch hoodpins destroy under your hood and they are ugly as sin aswell
example of what i use
very small about 1/3 of the size of a areocatch

How do they destroy under the hood? Rusting? I'm using a stock black hood.
You really think they are ugly? Yours look nice and clean, but In my opinion the Aerocatch are the best looking ones. specially because they are going on a black hood. Don't want anything flashy.
Really all i want are hood pins that have a locking function, and are not too noticable by the average person (to keep thieves away). I've never seen a car in person with the Aerocatch style pins, so I'm assuming most people won't know what they are.
its just cause they are so big...you can paint the pins that i have to any colour you want
and if you dont install perfectly they do not sit flush and since cavaliers have a really roundfront end it will be VERY difficult to sit flush.....have you searched to see the finished product
but it is a preference i guess. I just dont like em lol
mine sit flush.
you do need a big hole underneath to bolt them in place but... if you don't hack it the F up it doesn't look that bad.
Besides, who cares what it looks like underneath? I don't drive with my hood up. And like I said, if you cut it properly it doesn't look bad at all.
well maybe the one i saw was a hack job but it didnt sit flush....and as for it being a huge hole in your hood its just a preference for me cause i do have my hood open at shows and such....that would just be embarrasing
oh well if you are going to do it take your TIME
heres mone installed in my talon hood:
I love these pins and a simple solution for the underside for the hood, patch it a lil bit of body work goes a long way.

I agree with the Skwirl on this one, I'm not too concerned with how the bottom of my hood looks, and I know it's just a matter of how good the quality is on the install to make it sit flush. For now I might get some universal sparco pins or somtin, cause they are only $30, and I don't like my hood wobbling at 130km/h Aerocatch is $109 on ebay before shipping....yikes.
And Colin the last link was pretty hacked at the bottom, I"m obviously going to attempt to make the bottom look as clean as possible, but once again, no one looks under there but me.
Maybe this can be my opportunity to try my hand at some body work...
Thanks for input guys, I will definately be doing this once all the snow is gone for the season....
The only issue I sitll have is the lock on the pins. I hope they will last through Canadian winters.
