I have a 2002 z24 2.4l 5 speed and am not a fan of the front bumper and am missing the front "lip". Id like to swap it out for a 95-98 z24 bumper... would it be a direct fit with existing mounting holes?? And/or would i have to change the headlights and hood as well for it all to fit together and line up properly??
You will need to also change your fenders...or mod your fender brackets, and your headlights / corner lights. 95-02 hoods are the same on cavaliers.

Is it a major mod or something an average joe can do?
Trying to mod the fenders is probably a waste of time, just buy new fenders.
The only "mod" you'll need to do then is the headlight wiring harness. Your 00-02 headlights use a single 9007 bulb whereas the 95-99 uses a 9006 low beam and 9005 high. You should be able to buy the connectors you need from your local auto parts store, or your favorite online seller (eBay, Amazon, etc).

Sorry, not trying to thread jack but I'm working on swapping the front bumper from my 00 ls to a 97 Z24. I have new headlights for the 97 set up. Can I get around swapping the fenders by modding the bracket for the headlights? The reason I'm asking is because the driver side fender on the 97 is jacked up and would need some work to get it looking good.
