but the hockey one doesn't make sense. Every team in the NHL is Canadian by player percentage, none are American. Where they play doesn't matter as much as WHO IS PLAYING.

The biggest difference seems to be where they place the Eh.
If I had to pick between the two, I'd pick the Ranger to be tougher. Canada doesn't have the crime the US has, so the Mounties are in a less violent environment. They're like lunch monitors in junior high school. Drop off a few Mounties in Houston and see how long they last!
